It is all in the details! Leaded Cabinet Inserts by Glassworks Studio.

These cabinet inserts are definitely two of a kind...  We took our artistic detail from beautiful tile that is highlighted in this custom kitchen....  As you can see there is nothing like them...Beautiful and functional art glass!

Leaded Kitchen Inserts off to site...

Today we delivered a large number of leaded inserts to one of the great cabinet makers I enjoy working with...Top Notch Cabinetry in Oakville...18 in total....Yesterday we delivered to another cabinet maker in Mississauga..I guess it has been a week of work for the love of kitchens.

Tomorrow I am on a site tour in Oakville..a "social meeting" I would call it...I love these meetings....on this site we sandblasted a pantry door lite.. LOOK at the doorlite detail...this relief was taken off a napkin that the client provided to us...Have to say love it...and totally one of a kind...This technique is referred to as stage sandblasting...sandblasting is done to different depths into the tempered glass to achieve the detail ....AMAZING AGAIN!

Enjoy and let me know what you think...

Interior Door Panels for Woodeden...www.glassworksstudio.ca
First off this week we are working on Overlay windows with Gothic Pointier Peaks at the top.  We are waiting for a sheet of German Cathedral to come back from the sandblasters..this piece will make up the background for a ceiling panel.  And then the bevels arrived from San Diego for the Woodeden Project in Mississauga....

All very exciting...But it is gong to be another crazy week....finishing on Friday with another installation of Drawn Antique Mirror...NICE!!

Beveled Glass Kitchen Inserts....These are really nice!!!

Here are the custom beveled cabinet inserts that I polished today..they are still not complete as I have to solder little medallions at the intersections.....but so far so good...  No details were overlooked here...every piece of glass is custom beveled...even those tiny corner pieces.....And they look "WOW"

Makes it all worth the while.

Ok this is my last post tonight.....Have an awesome weekend...Tomorrow I am off to Ajax to look at a very near project!  EXciting!!!

Leaded Glass Transoms off to Ottawa...

Ok this week I finished the Rockcliffe Park Project...4 transoms and a total of 6 interior door lites.  WHEW!!
This afternoon the crate was picked up and off they went on a big truck to Ottawa.  I loved this project but am glad that they are shipped.... Today was a great day at the studio..I cannot explain...just in a happy place!  I polished some beveled panels that are for some cabinet inserts...relaxed and then went to Oakville to visit some new clients....TGIF....Hope you have a great weekend...

2012 starts in the kitchen..."Rennie inspired cabinet inserts"

Well....Because I have not said it yet..."Happy New Year."

I have many goals this year...some deal with glass...business expansion...and some change...I have lots to do and it is going to be an exciting year...I have a good feeling....

So last week and this week were pretty hectic..These "Rennie" inspired cabinet inserts were completed and installed on site in Oakville... as were 6 others for another Oakville project.  On the cutting tables now are 5 interior door lites also for Oakville...  More panels for the new showroom next door were finally completed...Classic and traditional..with fifty (5 x 7) bevels that were all bordered by striking Red Flemish by Wissmach. VERY VERY NICE..

Here are my Rennie Inserts...

So  I hope everyone had a great holiday..now back to work...   :-)
