Contemporary Leaded Windows At St. Michaels Hospital, Toronto

St Michaels Hospital Window BEFORE installation of Stained Glass by Glassworks Studio, Toronto.

Late last week we installed the first window at St Michaels Hospital in The Cardinal Cartier Wing.  These windows (window 1 & 2) are beautiful.  Both are built and designed for privacy...with acid etched, German cathedral,  Kokomo Tight Blue and Green Ripple, and Cobalt Blue.  WOW...Relaxing, stunning, they just draw me in....Simple and soothing....Have a look and let me know if you agree.  I love these.... k

Small Interior Window at St Mikes.Thank you to CB for the commission!

Leaded Windows off to thermal unit manufacture..

CRAZY CRAZY Days at the studio as of late...

We have picked up a contract to do the overlay for a major player in the window industry here is the GTA... they are really keeping us out of trouble as of late...Overlay is not my thing..I must prefer the real deal....But I love being busy...so between the studio's large commissions that are rolling along we have added this to the mix.

I must say a thank you and welcome to the studio's newest member Amanda.  Who has become completely proficient at Overlay in her short time here.  The "Thank You" is for getting as much accomplished as she has!  :)
Here are pictures of the contract that left early this week.... These single overlay lites will make up side one and two of the thermal units that are being manufactured. Total of 16 windows...

Today we were at St Mike's Hospital in Toronto installing some BEAUTIFUL GLASS!!

www.glassworksstudio.caToday we spent the afternoon at SMH in Toronto..it was a great afternoon...installing some beautiful privacy panels.  Dominant glass used in regards to color pigment was English Muffle Cobalt Blue and PW CC in cobalt blue...and although these were privacy panels we used quite a bit of GNA and Restover at the top section of the panels...so that the Toronto sky shines through.  These panels are "Mondrian" in style and inspired by the love of cobalt blue and watercolors..... as clearly represented with the Kokomo Green, Blue in Clear Ripple.

Love these pieces and I hope that you love them too...Relaxing ...Heart Racing....Cool ..ALL AT ONCE!
