Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired Doorlite, Final photos. Glassworks Studio Oakville

Glassworks Studio, Artwork for Second Street Project, 2012
Well here it is...I finally had a moment today to go and look at one of our sites that was actually finished up before Christmas....and I have been so excited to see it...AND it did not disappoint.  This door lite inspired by ancestral roots it a beauty.  German New Antique background, some of the blue ovals were kiln fired to curve them, and German Cathedral....Absolutely love this door lite.  Nothing like  "art" featured where you see it the most.... here is the site picture from this morning!

The beginnings of a flat panel skylight in Mississauga...

Someone asked me this week what is the best thing about what I do???? Working for myself....doing what I love..the great trades I work with...the amazing clients I work for that inspire me daily....There are so many things I do not know where to begin or stop...All I do is smile..."most days..."

Coming up are more great projects..a very linear interior doorlite in a Circa build....a meeting with the historic board for another build in Oakville, and a flat panel skylite to wrap our heads around....AWESOME...I love the familiarity of the flat panels that I considered my studios specialty...but I am so excited about venturing into something new....The next few months should be very exciting....PLUS a new studio space....AGAIN....I know!  Glassworks Studio is growing again....and I cannot wait.

Here are the pics...enjoy and have a great night!

Belleville Project..Leaded Glass Transom ..

Leaded Tansom with Antique Glass, Belleville Project. 2012
Glassworks Studio Mississauga

This design was inspired by nature.  Our client presented her drawing of the project ...we slightly modified her sketch and WOW...Very Nice!  This leaded glass transom was being sealed this afternoon in a thermal unit before heading off to Belleville....Cannot wait to see the after install pictures of this one!

Leaded Glass Transom and Entry....

Here are more pics of a site that we having been finishing up our Leaded Glass Installations this month of July.....All panels were custom designed and built for this project (like all of our projects!)...everything flows but nothing too "exact."  Here is a picture of the front entrance that we created for this client.....Glass is mostly GNA with some German Cathedral....clusters that were imported and some custom bevel work....and lots of our little facetted jewels everywhere....

Love this....
