Leaded Glass Windows Toronto...and some flower power..... Glassworks Studio

Here is a project that we have been working on this week and last...as a refresher...which means we are working on multiple projects and go back to this one... just because..   It is fun, whimsical, and definitely different.  I don't think I have ever seen a glass panel quite like it....  Our reference on this particular project.... a small purse...  Moroccan inspired..

Copperfoil Stained Glass Privacy Panel by Glassworks Studio, Mississauga CANADA

Here is another project that left our studio this month...Beautiful Calla Lilly Project.. We were greatly appreciative of our clients love of color for this project.  Beautiful purple in the flowers.. Amanda actually only utilized one type of glass...able to incorporate the different sections of the sheet.. background is our favorite German Cathedral...and again some bevels for bling...Here are two pictures.... one before the panel left the studio and one situated in her new home!  AWESOME!

And an exterior pic...of the leaded casements and transoms!

OK...We know that leaded glass looks amazing from the inside of your home....AND I am of the opinion that "our opinions" are the most important (Anyone who knows me ...is probably changing the  "our" to "HER"..haha...funny funny...

Well here is a picture of my lastest installation and proof positive that as "GREAT" as decorative glass looks from inside your space....WOW it looks amazing from outside too!

Just saying... Simply Awesome!

Its all about the Glass...

Yeah.. the column door lites are done and delivered and the new doors are being hung in the client's home today...I hope they love them as much as I do...They were a lot of work but are amazing!

This week Andrea built the little door lite for a Toronto site..."Rennie inspired"....Colors of choice were Earthy Greens, Pale Golds, and Clear GNA for the background.  This baby is small but still makes a statement.  I completed the mock up for this detail months ago so it is good to see it complete.  Size is 6 3/4" x 11"

This week is booked solid..last night I work late and was back this morning at 6am....  I thought I was going to slow the schedule down a bit before Christmas....no luck...just too much too do...This week 3 kitchens have to be complete and artwork for numerous jobs....  Exciting is the new job going to Ottawa..6 door lites and a few stained glass transoms...."Bejeweled" -my favorite- I am resting my brain so that I be inspired for my design day tomorrow.  Have a great one!

At Glassworks this week...

Ok...I know that I have been lazy with the posts...Last week I was lying on a beach in St Lucia...soaking up the heat..this week I am snowed under in work...no not literally...it just feels really cold. I love Toronto... :)

A lot of projects are on the go....leaded inserts..a lot of copper foil...a gate panel (which is off to Florida...) some Charles Rennie inspired....This weeks focus is finishing up on going projects so that I can start the layouts for new clients...  Everyone is excited...and the Christmas countdown in on...and new jobs booking for 2012..

I have not fired up the newest addition to my kiln family yet...This week I will apply the kiln wash and do the first firing...it looks so lonely sitting there..patiently waiting for me....I purchased a form for a bowl...maybe I will try one...  so many ideas..so little time..

I will post so new shots this week...the first of these is a picture of some leaded inserts and a interior window..the second "B" is a piece of stainless steel that was sandblasted for a clients wine cellar table.  Very cool...

Progress...custom bevels done..now panel assembly..

whew!!!Ok all of the custom bevels are done...finally...in case you did not know...beveling is only expensive because it is so time consuming..  Now that they are done the door lites have to be copperfoiled and soldered...YES...this means there is still a lot of work to complete before I hit the beach...These door lites are all being installed in a grandroom/sunroom.. I should say "GREAT" room.  Every appointment at this residence is simply elegant.  A few touches of "BLING."  I love it!

So these are my column door lites in progress..Let me know what you think.

Have a Great Weekend!
